You are either born into the nobility, or otherwise elevated to it by in-game events. Assuming you are dressed appropriately, you are always considered to be at least one Status Tier higher than others unless they also have the Noble Blood Talent, where Status is compared as normal. Furthermore, you may enter the Noble Career as if it were within the same Class as your current Career.
